NABIS’
Brain Injury Awareness Week Kick-off Breakfast
In 2005, NABIS
hosts its 14th Breakfast, again at the Westin Hotel in downtown
Edmonton, this year featuring celebrated Canadian writer Gail
Anderson-Dargatz, author of A Recipe for Bees, and The Cure
for Death by Lightning. Ms. Anderson-Dargatz is the spouse
of a brain injury survivor. She serves as caregiver to her
husband, Floyd, originally a farmer from Millet, Alberta.
Gail will speak about the triumphs and trials of brain injury
from her vantage point and put the spotlight on the “others”
who are affected by brain injury. Join 500 others in acknowledging
the impact of brain injury on those affected, as well as their
families, caregivers and professionals. The Breakfast starts
at 7:00 am and continues until 8:30 am. Tickets are $35.00
each, or a table of ten for $300.00. A tax receipt is issued
for the charitable portion of the ticket. Phone 479-1757 for
more information.
NABIS gratefully
acknowledges the sponsorship of this breakfast by James H.
