Networks provides a safe, supportive environment for adults with brain injury.   Edmonton Brain Injury Relearning Society
EBIRS specializes in compensatory cognitive rehabilitation for those with an acquired, non-progressive, moderate to severe brain injury seeking development of lost personal skills.
  The Brain Injury Association of Alberta
The Brain Injury Association of Alberta (BIAA) is a provincial advocacy group dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with the effects of acquired brain injury.  There are links to all the local support groups in Alberta as well as a newsletter, and upcoming events.
  Traumatic Brain Injury - TBI Chat Room
is an extensive Brain Injury Chat Room for survivors and caregivers. Many resources here including links to other TBI resources, various chat rooms, links to survivors' homepages, pictures, stories, poems and writings.
  The Brain Injury Glossary
is a massive alphabetical listing of all medical, legal, and rehabilitation terms related to brain injury.  Also includes a complete Guide to Brain Anatomy and "Understanding Coma".
  The Whole Brain Atlas
The Whole Brain Atlas is a brain imaging information resource which integrates clinical information with various imaging data from MRI, PET scans, X-Ray and more.  The Atlas includes over 13,000 brain images from 30 different cases from the Harvard Medical School and MIT.
  TBI Medical Information
Here is a page of links providing excellent information about what happens to the brain as a result of trauma, the common effects of damage to specific areas of the brain, rehab information, chat rooms, and much more.
  The Ontario Brain Injury Association
has been committed since 1986 to enhancing the quality of life for those living with an acquired brain injury.  They have an extensive kids section along with a newsletter and conference listings.
  The Perspectives Network, Inc.
Their primary focus is positive communication between persons with brain injury, family members/ caregivers/ friends of persons with brain injury, and the many professionals who treat persons with brain injury, in order to create positive changes and enhance public awareness and knowledge of  brain injury.
 
  Brain Injury Association USA Home Page
is the American Association's website featuring a massive amount of every type of brain injury related information.  They feature medical and treatment/ rehabilitation information and serve as a clearinghouse for all variety of related brain injury resources.  They also have conference listings, a terrific kids section and a bookstore.
  The Brain Injury Information Page
is an American law firm with extensive resources covering the medical, social, and legal aspects of traumatic brain injury.  They also include lists of support groups, brain injury associations and essays from survivors.
  American Academy of Neurology
Information about the medical specialty of neurology and disorders of the brain and nervous system, with links to other neurology resources. Also includes an international listing of neurologists, Academy sponsored meetings and other neurology-related events.
  NeuroScience Center
This website contains commercially and freely provided clinical and research information for professionals of all disciplines working in the neurosciences.  Also includes The Journal of Cognitive Rehabilitation (JCR) searchable database, a Bookstore, and a Survivor's Directory filled with rehab stories and experiences.
 
  Neuroscience for Kids
This extensive website has been created for students and teachers who would like to learn more about the brain and nervous system.  It has plenty of experiments, activities and games to help you learn about the nervous system, along with a Newsletter for Kids.  Excellent info here!
  Alberta Brain Injury Network (ABIN)
The Alberta Brain Injury Network was launched September 2000, to address the needs of adults with acquired brain injury. The aim of the Network is to provide province-wide community support services to enable persons with brain injury to live, work and participate in their communities. ABIN also publishes the Brain Injury Survival Guide.

  Alberta Artists with Brain Injury (AABI)

Alberta’s second provincial conference for acquired brain injury was held in Red Deer, Alberta on April 7 & 8, 2005. The conference focused on establishing links between people, services and researchers and celebrated past successes of the Brain Injury Sector with an eye to our future.
